Charity of the Year 2025: Sands Chesterfield

Many events through our Calendar we raise money for Charity be it shaking buckets or profits from concerts.

Planned events: Charity Sing in Chesterfield Town Centre 4th October 2025 @ 10.30am and also Wave of Light Service at Chesterfield Crematorium @ 6.45pm

Part of the National Sands Charity (Stillbirth and neonatal death charity), Chesterfield Sands has been set up to offer support to anyone affected by the loss of a baby, at any stage of pregnancy, before, during or after birth. We hold monthly support meetings to offer support, comfort and understanding to anyone affected by the loss of a baby. Our friendly and relaxed meetings are an opportunity for bereaved parents to meet others who have been through a similar experience. We support families locally and other areas including Sheffield, Doncaster and Worksop.

Chesterfield Sands was launched April 2011, and has been supporting families locally in Chesterfield, Sheffield, Doncaster and Worksop and surrounding areas ever since. The group is run by volunteers and support is given by bereaved parents who have been befriender trained by the main Sands charity. All our volunteers are unpaid and give up their own time to help other families in their darkest hours. Without these wonderful families we would not be able to provide the community with the help and support they need. Thank you to them all for their continuing help and to everyone who has supported, helped and donated in any way to Chesterfield Sands.
